Hutchinsons is a small independent planning practice established in 1991, based in Kimbolton in Cambridgeshire and providing a wide range of planning services to private and public sector clients. The practice has a sound reputation for delivering successful outcomes in a wide range of developments and the partners apply their considerable knowledge and expertise in resolving planning problems, sometimes where others have failed.
Hutchinsons offers an efficient and cost effective service where the focus is on providing clear advice and seeking to secure client aspirations wherever possible, either through negotiations with planning authorities and other interested parties or through appeal. Our approach is based on a sound understanding of town and country planning legislation and the application of a planning policy at national and local level.
The partners are highly experienced in representing land owners and developers, local planning authorities and third party interests across a range of sectors. Hutchinsons also are able to bring together a multi-disciplinary team to act for clients, including architects, highway consultants, ecologists, arboriculturists, landscape consultants and archaeologists and will act as the project co-ordinator through the planning process.
Our casework includes the preparation and submission of planning applications and appeals; project management of large proposals; development plan analysis and submission of representations; site/land appraisals; acting as a planning witness at Public Inquiries and Hearings.
The partners have considerable experience in enforcement cases, securing satisfactory outcomes for clients, either by negotiating with local planning authorities, the submission of applications for lawful development certificates or by the preparation and presentation of oral or written evidence at planning enforcement appeals.
